I'm not going to be the one to tell you to kick your daily latte-a-day habit. But...if you really want to feel like a real fancy-pants, a home espresso machine could be the appliance to get you there. It’s an investment, sure, but lucky for you, today is October Amazon Prime Day and Breville’s the Barista Express espresso machine is on *major* sale right now. Aside from nifty kitchen products, you can also use Prime Day to snag holiday decor, luggage deals and tons of other random-but-useful items that will come in handy.

The all-in-one countertop espresso machine normally retails for $750, but is currently $200—nearly 30 percent off—as part of Amazon's big sale event, which runs from today to Wednesday, Oct. 9. If it's your first time shopping at Amazon's October Prime Day sale, make sure to sign in or sign up for an Amazon Prime membership, since only Prime members can access these epic deals and discounts.

Consider the Barista Express like a luxury SUV to your single-cup coffee maker’s 1993 Toyota Camry. The latter will certainly get you from point A to point B (caffeine in your bloodstream), but the former offers alllll the perks. That includes a built-in burr grinder for the freshest cup, precision digital temperature control for pinpoint coffee extraction and a steam wand for silky microfoam. The machine also has a choice of automatic or manual operation for when you feel like putting on your barista apron…or you just woke up.

Or as one buyer notes, "As an aspiring home barista, I was seeking an espresso machine that could provide a high-quality brew without a steep learning curve. After extensive research, I landed on the Breville Barista Express, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations," they rave. "Aesthetically, the Barista Express is a real winner, but the true star of this machine is its functionality. The ability to grind beans directly into the portafilter and then pull espresso shots is remarkably convenient and fun to experiment with. The grind size adjustment allows you to fine-tune the extraction to your personal preferences, providing a level of customization that is rare at this price point."

Breville

I think the cost is well worth it considering the Barista Express can make an espresso in less than a minute and you don’t have to change out of your PJs to get it. (No offense to your local coffee shop.) And with it being $200 off for the next two days, I would definitely waste no time picking one up if I were you.
