Fall really is a magical time. The leaves are changing color, the days are getting chillier and all you want to do is snuggle up with a pumpkin-spice latte. Unless you live in L.A. (or Maui or Miami or New Orleans), in which case your autumn isn’t quite a season described by sweater ads and romantic comedies.
That’s where Ship Foliage comes in. This literally named, Boston-based company exists for the sole purpose of--wait for it--mailing authentic New England fall foliage anywhere in the country.
After collecting leaves from all over New England, the good people at Ship Foliage preserve them (to enhance their color and extend their life span) and then assemble bundles that are dispatched to deciduous-leaf-less locales.
Sure, each bundle contains only three leaves (one red, one yellow and one mixed color) and costs $20, but that’s a whole lot cheaper than a flight to rural New Hampshire.
