The Cheesecake Factory may feel like a summer destination. Between the warm crab artichoke dip, Cajun jambalaya pasta and red sangria, there's no shortage of warm-weather menu items to indulge in. But come fall, my sights turn to dessert. And this year, fans didn't have to wait until October to get their sweater season on, since the chain released its fall cheesecakes early.

The Cheesecake Factory Just Added 22 New Items to Its Menu (and I Ranked Them, for Science)

As of late September, pumpkin and pumpkin pecan cheesecakes made their return to all restaurant locations. The pumpkin variety is ridiculously creamy, warm-spiced, baked in a graham cracker crust and topped with fresh whipped cream. I found it to be very balanced and creamy. The spices were apparent yet gentle, and the graham base brought a touch of salt to round everything out. It's one of the tastiest on the menu, albeit for a limited time. (Take it from me: I tasted every flavor of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.)

The pumpkin pecan, though, is next-level decadent—and downright delicious. Consider this variety a 50/50 cross between pecan pie and pumpkin cheesecake. The layered beauty starts with graham cracker crust, then gets thick helpings of both gooey pecan pie filling and pumpkin cheesecake. It's finished with rich caramel, chopped pecans and whipped cream. This was my favorite for the longest time, as the gooey texture of the pecan filling, studded with tender-crunchy nuts, makes a stellar match for tangy, borderline fruity pumpkin cheesecake.

Prices vary by location, but on average, you can treat yourself to a slice for about $9. You can order a piece (or two) as part of a meal, or place a cake order in advance for your holiday table. Whatever you do, act fast to get your hands on one of these seasonal delicacies. They'll likely only be available through Thanksgiving.
