Is it just me, or is the year flying by? We’re already approaching the season of pecan lattes, the *best* treats at Trader Joe’s and cozy cocktails by the fireplace (or, at least, the yule log on Netflix—real ones know). And while I'm certainly looking forward to all of the above, let's be real—the best part about fall is the influx of new trends and additions to our closets. If your autumn wardrobe is looking a little worse for wear (or you just need an excuse to shop), I know just where to look for the most stylish closet updates: Nordstrom, of course. I scoured the retailer's clothing, shoes and accessories sections with this fall's hottest trends in mind. The result? A vetted list of the 21 best Nordstrom fall fashion pieces, pulled from more than 13,000 options on the site.

Nordstrom has a ton of new fall items, many of which are in line with the trends we've seen this year, from boho-chic headwear to upscale track pants. As always, you can also count on the retailer to supply the best of the basics, from cozy sweaters to comfy boots, albeit with a few up-to-date twists.

After researching the biggest trends of fall 2025 (which you can read all about at the bottom of this story), I combed through every inch of Nordstrom's site to find the chicest, most coveted and highest reviewed pieces that are timely enough to feel fresh, but timeless enough that you can wear them for months—or years—to come. I was also sure to pull picks with a good range of sizes, as well as items that wouldn't totally break the bank (although I will admit that some of these designer finds are worth investing in). Below, you'll find 21 on-trend pieces to set the foundation of your fall wardrobe.

In addition to the aforementioned boho and Western trends, there's also a focus on heritage pieces that feel both town and country, like this Lauren Ralph Lauren floral maxi dress ($295). According to Pinterest's trend report, there's also been an uptick in interest in fun, bold patterns like leopard print and camouflage, as well as more voluminous coats and skirts. Now that you know what to look for, you can start flexing those shopping muscles.

Excellent news for all you deal-hunters out there: Nordstrom’s price match policy is (almost) as good as its fall assortment. Per the company, “If you find a better price at Nordstrom or a competitor for an item you purchased, we’ll match it and refund you the difference.” You'll want to note that the adjustment does not apply to outlet or flash sale prices or most already on sale at Nordstrom.

On the off chance you don’t absolutely love the item you purchased from Nordstrom, you can easily return it either in-store or via mail. Nordstrom will provide the shipping label if you choose to send the item back in the mail or the QR code if you'd rather bring it back to the store. Once the item has been received, refunds can be expected in roughly three to 19 business days. (Note that in-store purchases are processed more quickly.)
