I don’t know about you, but I constantly look to Meghan Markle as a source of fashion inspiration. Whether it’s a unique color combo or an iconic outfit formula, the Duchess of Sussex can be counted on to take classic looks to new heights—especially when it comes to styling a cardigan. In the recently dropped second season of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, Markle's sweater game was on full display, as she rocked several noteworthy styles that felt equal parts luxe and laid-back. Needless to say, viewers are flocking to find out where they're from, and with fall right around the corner, I, too, have been wondering where I can get my hands on the actress-turned-royal-turned-lifestyle-guru's chic cardis.

So I did what any good shopping editor would do: I hunted down her favorite brands and found similar (or, in some cases, the exact) styles to shop—and, of course, share with you.

1. Jenni Kayne

Jenni Kayne

In the third episode of With Love, Meghan season two, our hostess can be seen in Jenni Kayne’s cashmere Spencer cardigan ($595), which she layered over a striped blue and white button-down shirt. A longtime fave of Markle's, the brand is known for its chic-yet-cozy basics, with the utmost focus on quality materials and craftsmanship. That ethos is reflected in pieces like the Spencer and the famous cocoon cardigan ($495), which our editors have personally tested (and loved).

2. Heidi Merrick

Heidi Merrick

Markle also sported this Finny button-down cardigan ($255) from Heidi Merrick this season. Per the brand, it’s designed to have a looser, boxy fit, which itself is accentuated by a trio of patch pockets that you can use for storing smaller essentials. The independent, Los Angeles-based luxury brand places an emphasis on sustainability through its ready-to-wear and home collections, and while its price point is a little higher compared to other brands, the quality of its pieces is amazing, making them more than worth the investment.

3. J. Crew

J. Crew

Our girl has always had a closet full of J.Crew—duchesses, they're just like us! She's publicly donned the brand on several occasions, including in 2020, when she wore this exact Heritage cotton relaxed cardigan (from $98; $44) over her shoulders during an appearance on the Teenager Therapy podcast. While that particular piece is almost out of stock, there are a couple more options, such as this State of Cotton NYC Peyton striped cardigan ($495), that can help you achieve a similar look.

4. La Ligne

La Ligne

In episode six of her show's new season, the duchess wore a tan wrap cardigan from La Ligne. While that sweater is unfortunately sold out, you can still nail the style with the brand’s Toujours wrap cardigan ($350; $210), which is made from ribbed cashmere and boasts a belted waistline that you can cinch as you please. Founded in 2016 by former Vogue editors Meredith Melling and Valerie Macaulay, La Ligne is all about elevating contemporary classics. It's no wonder Markle appears to be a fan, having worn several of their pieces over the years, including the high-rise straight jeans ($195) that pair especially well with cozy knits.

5. Madewell

Madewell

No surprise here either, but the famous Madewell Kent cardigan that subsequently went viral after Markle posted herself wearing it in 2015 is…sold out. Luckily, Madewell is a brand that gives you options, and this merino wool Boyfriend cardigan (from $128; $30) provides the longer length shoppers adored about the Kent. There are also pieces like this cashmere button-front number ($198) and lettuce-hem ribbed cardigan ($75), which are shorter in length, but have a similar color Markle's, so they're perfect if you're going for a moody, dark academia vibe this fall.
