Whether you know someone with a baby on the way or you're getting a head start on back-to-school shopping, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the time to pounce on top-tier brands at seriously discounted prices. Nordstrom cardmembers with Influencer through Icon status can shop the sale now, but it officially opens to everyone on Saturday, July 18.

Admittedly, I tend to think of the sale as prime time for deals on the latest fashion trends and bougie accessories and beauty buys, but the baby and kids' finds fly under the radar. Dreaming of a Nuna REVV rotating car seat but don't want to drop $800 on it? You can snag it for $600 during the sale. Your tween swears he needs an Owala water bottle for the first day of school? Score one for $22, instead of the usual $30. Those deals are just two of the dozens offered, and I've culled through them all to bring you the top eight, based on six years of Happy Kid Awards product testing and interviews with parents nationwide on what's worth the spend.

nuna car seat
nuna

A rotating car seat is a game-changer for getting squirmy kids in and out of the car. And consistently, Nuna is one of the top parent-recommended brands. The REVV maxx pairs cushy, energy-absorbing foam for comfort with reassuring safety features, like Aeroflex side impact protection, a steel-reinforced frame and 11-position head support. There are also very parent-friendly details, like an easy-to-use rotating feature and magnetic buckle holders to keep the harness out of the way while you put your baby in her seat.

Oh, and if the REVV is out of your budget, the Nuna Rava—another reader favorite—is on sale for $430 (it's normally $580).

One of the top-recommended sneaker brands for wide feet, New Balances strike just the right, ahem, balance of comfort and support for kids. The price point can often be daunting, though, since elementary schoolers tend to grow out of—and straight-up destroy—shoes quickly, but this discount makes them much more reasonable.

adidas mary jane

Mary Jane sneakers have been a huge trend this year, and they're showing no signs of stopping. How sweet is this Adidas style? You can snag it in baby through Big Kid sizes too, so your toddler won't feel left out if big sis is rocking them on her first day of school.

Your kid needs a new rain jacket; stock up early. The North Face has an excellent reputation for its durability, as well as its machine-washable, DryVent fabric, which is water repellent and breathable. This jacket features elastic cuffs, a fixed hood with an elastic rain-guard tunnel and a chin guard to really keep water out, no matter how powerful the downpour.

rainbow cardigan

For the kid whose favorite color is "rainbow," allow me to present to you this cozy chenille cardigan. It's available in toddler through big kid sizes, but once you take in the balloon sleeves and its softness, you'll wish they made them for adults too. (Just me?)

Multiple editors have hailed the Slumberpod as a game-changer when traveling—or for babies and toddlers who struggle to go to sleep in general (for further evidence, check out our full review). It can be used on its own or fitted over a playard or mini crib, blocking out 95 percent of light so kids can really catch some Zzz's. This bundle comes with a portable fan, which is crucial for balmy summer nights.

As we interviewed kids, tweens and teens about their go-to water bottles, one brand reigned supreme: Owala. The stainless steel bottle keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours, but what kids really liked was how easily it fits into backpacks' side pockets and how it doesn't leak as easily as other premium bottles and tumblers. (Plus, the fun color combinations don't hurt, and Nordstrom's offering five styles at nearly 27 percent off.)

babybjorn bouncer

A BabyBjörn bouncer is at the top of many a parent's baby registry—it even won Best Bouncer in PureWow's 2026 Happy Kid Awards: Best for Baby edition. Why? Its compact, self-rocking design takes up minimal space and seems to soothe a wide range of babies. (We've all tried that wonder gift another parent raved about, only to find our kids hated it.) Plus, when your baby is sitting up and walking unaided, you can turn it into a kids' chair.
