In the You season three finale, fans last saw Joe Goldberg in Paris (under an entirely new alias) searching for his one true love, Marienne (played by Tati Gabrielle). Before the season four premiere, the actress is sharing what her ideal ending would be if her character were to be reunited with Joe.

While promoting her new movie Uncharted, the 26-year-old actress sat down with Screen Rant and revealed what she wants her character’s future to look like. If Marienne were to re-connect with Joe, Gabrielle would want her to take him down once and for all.

“I really would love to see [her] foil Joe,” the actress said. “On one hand, I would love to see your foil Joe, and then, on the other hand, I'd love to see what it could be like for Marienne to just have a good life. She struggled for so long. And yeah, I want her to have a happy ending.”

In the third season, Joe (Penn Badgley), Love (Victoria Pedretti) and their newborn son Henry move to a small town in Northern California called Madre Linda. Eager to start over, the couple vows to suppress their violent tendencies. But, their impulses later emerge from the depths and create utter chaos in the once peaceful town.

When Joe and Love start experiencing a rough patch in their marriage, he soon falls for his boss, Marienne. They soon start a secret romance (which she ends). In an attempt to start a new life for herself and her daughter, Marianne leaves Madre Linda for good. But, Joe is not ready to lose her that easily. He is determined to find her, no matter the cost.

If anyone could stop Joe, it would definitely be Marienne.
