This Spanish Crime Drama Is Your Next Suspense-Ridden Binge-Watch—and It’s Quickly Climbing the Charts

Have you already binged all of Ozark? Re-watched Breaking Bad more times than you can count? You're in luck: There's a new crime drama, Wrong Side of the Tracks, climbing the charts on Netflix, and it's currently sitting at the No. three position on the site's list of most-watched TV shows. Flying above popular series like Ozark, The Circle, Who Killed Sara? and more, we have a feeling this Spanish drama is going to be our next binge-watch.

Wrong Side of the Tracks (titled Entrevías in Spanish) follows Tirso Abantos (José Coronado), an ex-military man who spends his days running a hardware store and missing the thrill of his former life. However, when Tirso discovers that his granddaughter, Irene (Nona Sobo), has gotten mixed up with dangerous local drug dealers, he decides to handle the matter himself.

In the trailer above, we see Irene get herself into trouble and come to stay with her grandfather to remain under his protection. However, as things get more violent and Tirso tries to separate Irene from her boyfriend, he teams up with a corrupt police officer named Ezequiel (Luis Zahera) to challenge the local dealers. With corruption, family drama and aching romance, Wrong Side of the Tracks looks like another hit for Netflix.

Alongside Coronado, Sobo and Zahera, the series also stars Felipe Londoño, Laura Ramos, Manuel Tallafé, Manolo Caro, Itziar Atienza and María de Nati.

All eight episodes of the first season of Wrong Side of the Tracks are currently available to stream on Netflix in English or Spanish. While the second season just finished airing in Spain, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that they add the episodes to the streaming service ASAP.
