This Haunting New Trailer for ‘The Night House’ Is the Stuff of Nightmares

We might need to break out our nightlight after watching this thrilling trailer for Rebecca Hall’s upcoming horror film.

Searchlight Pictures just shared a full-length trailer for The Night House, a terrifying new movie about a widow who’s being haunted by her deceased husband.

The trailer introduces viewers to Beth (Hall), a young woman who’s dealing with the loss of her husband. Despite the memories, she continues to live in the lakeside home her hubby built prior to his death.

It doesn’t take long for Beth to feel his ghostly presence in the form of tormenting visions. When she begins digging into his past, she’s confronted with a mind-blowing mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat.

In addition to Hall, The Night House also stars Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Vondie Curtis Hall (Eve's Bayou), Evan Jonigkeit (The Empty Man) and Stacy Martin (Archive). The movie is directed by David Bruckner (Southbound, The Ritual). The film is written by Super Dark Times co-writers Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski.

The Night House will hit theaters on July 16. Due to social distancing, it will likely become available to purchase shortly after on streaming services like Amazon Prime. *Crosses fingers*
