A Must-See Thriller Is the #2 Show on Netflix, But I Can’t Believe What’s Sitting at #1

What am I missing?

Whenever I’m at a streaming crossroads, I always turn to Netflix’s top-rated lists. The charts rank the most-watched shows and movies in real-time, and since it’s updated on a daily basis, it’s always changing and presenting new streaming options. So far, I have never questioned the list’s accuracy—that is, until I saw the latest ranking.

Currently, Raw is ranked number one on Netflix’s list of most-watched shows. The series is a live version of WWE Raw, meaning it drops a real-time wrestling broadcast every single week. Raw has become so popular, it’s ranked above other noteworthy titles like The Night Agent (#2) and American Primeval (#3).

I understand that some people enjoy watching wrestling. (We listen and we don’t judge.) But I didn’t realize it’s capable of outperforming a wildly popular show like The Night Agent, which just released its second season after a two-year hiatus.

In The Night Agent, Gabriel Basso stars as a low-level FBI agent who answers a life-changing phone call while monitoring an emergency line. Season one documents his mission to uncover a dangerous conspiracy at the White House, and the second season explores his new role as an official Night Agent.

In her honest review of the show’s second season, PureWow editor Nakeisha Campbell wrote, “As much as I enjoyed getting sucked back into the world of espionage, I’ll admit, there were a few moments of annoyance and frustration. And it’s all due to Peter Sutherland.”

Perhaps it’s time I give Raw a shot.
