Who Is Olivia Colman’s Husband, Ed Sinclair? Here’s Everything We Know

He’s an actor and writer, who’s best known for playing Michael the Butler in the BBC series Look Around You. Although he studied law at Cambridge University, he later decided to pursue writing as a long-term career. He wrote a number of episodes for the miniseries Landscapers.

The couple first met when they were working on a Cambridge University production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Table Manners at the Footlights Dramatic Club. Colman later revealed that it was love at first sight. “My husband and I were very lucky. We met when we had nothing, and we loved each other then. So, we were all right,” she told The Telegraph. “We were 20, and he was also an actor. If you meet at that age, then you’re fine. For me, it was thunderbolts straight away.”

Yes, but details about their wedding have been kept a secret. The only thing we know is that they tied the knot in 2001. Colman has stated that upon first meeting Sinclair: “I immediately thought, that’s the person I’m going to marry.”

Colman and Sinclair are parents to three children: sons Finn and Sinclair and a daughter, whose name hasn’t been publicly revealed. Despite their mom’s fame, the kids have managed to stay out of the spotlight (at least for now).

Yes! Besides their joint theater work in college, Colman actually starred in all 4 episodes of the miniseries Landscapers, of which Sinclair was the writer and creator. Both Colman and Sinclair also acted as executive producers on the series.
