Everything We Know (So Far) About Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck’s Las Vegas Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck surprised everyone this past weekend, when they jetted off to Las Vegas and eloped in a small, intimate ceremony on Saturday, July 16.

Following the announcement of their engagement back in April, the details of their wedding planning had been scarce. That is, until TMZ reported that the pair had filed for a marriage license before tying the knot. Then, J.Lo confirmed the news in her On the JLo newsletter on Sunday.

Of course, we've been endlessly refreshing all of Lopez's social media in hopes of seeing pics from the wedding, but in the meantime, she graciously shared a few tidbits about the secret ceremony. Keep reading for everything we know.

Bennifer tied the knot in Las Vegas, after obtaining a marriage license from Clark County, Nevada. A rep confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the ceremony took place at A Little White Chapel Vegas. J.Lo described the experience in more depth in her On the JLo newsletter.

“Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world,” she wrote of the experience. “Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”

She added, “With the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”

According to People, Lopez wore a Zuhair Murad bridal gown, which can be seen in photos here. The off-the-shoulder design featured a sweetheart neckline, fishtail train and long, lacy sleeves. Affleck matched Lopez's dress in a white tuxedo.

Prior to the ceremony, J.Lo sported a different gown, which is seen in the video above, courtesy of her hairstylist, Chris Appleton. “How are you feeling?” He asks in the clip. “I feel amazing,” Lopez replies. “I'm so excited.”

In the clip, she also says, “I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I’ve been saving it and saving it and saving it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day.” This white gown featured a textured skirt and a sleeveless bodice, and at the end of the video, she accessorized it with a matching white purse.

Jenny from the Block kindly gave us a glimpse of her wedding band in a new Instagram post, where she said, “Sadie! #iykyk Go to OnTheJLo for all the deets. #linkinbio.” (She is seemingly referencing the song “Sadie, Sadie” from Funny Girl, where the refrain goes: “I'm Sadie, Sadie, married lady.”)

According to Jenny Luker (president of Platinum Guild International USA), Lopez's wedding band likely cost around $1000. Luker added, “Jennifer's wedding ring is a classic and timeless style! It looks like a wide, domed platinum band. Jennifer's ring is a beautiful symbol of her love and commitment to Ben because platinum is precious, rare and lasts a lifetime.”

It's still unclear who attended the secret nuptials, however, as Glamour pointed out, one of the photos that J.Lo shared in her newsletter featured a shot of her 14-year-old, Emme. It is still unknown whether Lopez's son, Max, was in attendance, along with Affleck's three children—Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

We'll just have to keep waiting for the couple to drop that guest list.
