Jennifer Lopez Announces That She and Ben Affleck Are Engaged

Only a couple months ago, Jennifer Lopez was singing “Marry me, marry me. Say yes!” in her hit movie, Marry Me, and now it looks like that fiction has become a reality.

Late last night, the 52-year-old singer shared a mysterious video to her Twitter account, which was captioned, “Major announcement!!!!” In the clip, J.Lo says, “So I have a really exciting and special story to share. So if you're not part of my inner circle, you have to go to to hear this one. I don't know if you guys know what that is, but it is my inner circle where I share my more personal things and this one's definitely...on the J.Lo.” Lopez also added a diamond ring emoji next to her name on her Twitter profile.

And now, we've learned that J.Lo's announcement is that she and Ben Affleck are officially engaged! Lopez shared the news in her On The J.Lo newsletter, and a source confirmed the information to People as well. In Lopez's video announcement, she revealed that Affleck proposed, while also showing off a diamond green engagement ring.

A shot of the ring can been seen thanks to Lopez's younger sibling, Lynda, who posted a shot of the green stone on Instagram. The photo from Lynda was taken from J.Lo's announcement video, and along with the snap, she included a series of green heart emojis and wrote, “So this happened...” As People pointed out, Lopez has previously talked about how green is her lucky color.

This announcement comes only days after Lopez sparked rumors when she was seen wearing a ring on *that* finger while furniture shopping with her daughter, Emme. Now it appears that those rumors were true.

Lopez and Affleck were previously engaged all the way back in November of 2002, but called off the nuptials in January 2004.

We're so happy for you, Bennifer!
