This Justin Timberlake Flick Is #2 on Netflix (& It’s an Ideal Pick for Movie Night)

This throwback movie has everything we could want in a classic rom-com: Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis and a semi-predictable friends turned lovers story line.

You’ve probably seen or heard about Friends with Benefits, since it originally premiered in 2011. However, it just recently became available on Netflix, and it’s already claimed the number two spot on the streaming service’s list of top-rated movies. (It’s currently ranked behind Bad Trip and ahead of Secret Magic Control Agency, Octonauts & the ‘Ring of Fire’ and Seaspiracy.)

The story begins when a recruiter named Jamie (Kunis) is tasked with convincing art director Dylan (Timberlake) to take a job at GQ magazine in NYC. It doesn’t take long for the pair to discover they have a lot in common, so they strike up a deal to have sex with no strings attached. When they start catching feelings for one another, they’re forced to reevaluate their “friendship.”

In addition to Timberlake and Kunis, Friends with Benefits also stars Patricia Clarkson (Lorna), Jenna Elfman (Annie), Bryan Greenberg (Parker), Richard Jenkins (Mr. Harper), Woody Harrelson (Tommy), Nolan Gould (Sam) and Andy Samberg (Quincy).

The movie was directed by Will Gluck (Easy A), who also wrote the screenplay alongside Keith Merryman (Think Like a Man), David A. Newman (Think Like a Man Too) and Harley Peyton (Twin Peaks).

There go our weekend plans.
