I’ve had hundreds of facials in my lifetime, and at this point, I’d say I’m a bit of a facial connoisseur. I’ll try just about any treatment once. There’s something about the ritual that gets me every time: the cloud of steam, the rhythmic glide of an esthetician’s hands, even the (slightly masochistic) satisfaction of extractions. So when I heard about the Shark FacialPro Glow, an at-home device promising hydro facial–level results, I was intrigued. Would it be just as good at professional treatments? Upon unboxing it, I was surprised to find it very intuitive. Just fill, click, glide.

What Is the Shark FacialPro Glow?

The Shark FacialPro Glow is a handheld, multi-step at-home device designed to recreate the deep-cleansing, pore-purifying effects of a professional hydro facial. It uses hydro-powered suction to extract impurities while infusing hydrating serums, plus a detachable Depuffi tool that alternates between warm and cool settings for soothing contrast therapy.

My Review of the Shark Facial Pro-Glo

What I Like

  • Noticeable glow after a single session
  • Depuffi contrast therapy adds a pampering touch
  • Well-designed device that feels elevated

What I Don't Like

  • Doesn’t fully replicate the intensity of a true hydro facial
  • Proprietary serums add to long-term cost
  • Slight learning curve with suction control

I started with the InstaHeat setting to warm and prep my skin, easing it into facial mode. Next came the Derm Detox solution, a blend of AHA and BHA meant to sweep away any surface grime and unclog pores. Then I filled the tank with water, snapped on the wide tip for my cheeks, and got to work. The suction was gentle, yet just enough pull to feel purposeful without leaving behind irritation. I also loved the rhythm of the soft whirr sound. It was oddly meditative, I’m sure it could lull me to sleep if I weren’t careful.

That said, I expected a little more filth from the gunk tank that holds the water the device sucked from my face. I was ready for the satisfying swirl of debris you see all over TikTok, but my post-facial water was practically clear.

My Results Using the Shark FacialPro Glow

After two uses, my skin looked and felt less congested around the nose and chin, but the real payoff came the next morning when my makeup went on smoother. The device seems ideal for weekly upkeep, especially before big events when I want my complexion to look a bit more luminous than usual.

And while the exfoliation attachment is the main event, the depuffi attachment quickly became my favorite part. The cooling mode gave instant relief to puffy under-eyes, and the heat mode mimicked that spa-steam feeling.

“Our face has circulatory, muscular and lymphatic systems,” esthetician Alicia Yoon, founder of Peach & Lily, once told PureWow. “A bit of facial massage can give a major boost to these systems, and in turn, move any toxins or excess fluids that have built up in our lymphatic system.”

That reminder made me appreciate the hot-and-cold therapy even more. Any chance to stimulate circulation and support my skin’s natural detox pathways, I’m down.

Safety & Best Practices

To avoid injury, start slow. Choose the lowest suction and temperature settings to give your skin time to adjust. Keep the tip moving in steady, gentle strokes (hovering in one spot for too long can cause irritation) and skip any areas with active breakouts, sunburn or extra sensitivity. Once you’re done, rinse and clean the tip and water tank thoroughly, then let everything dry before putting it away.

The Bottom Line: Is the Shark FacialPro Glow Worth It?

If you love hydrafacials but want an in-between option that’s quick, the Shark Facial Pro-Glo delivers. It won’t fully replace your esthetician, but it will leave your skin feeling smooth. For anyone craving an instant glow or a mini reset before an event, it’s a smart tool to keep in your beauty rotation.
