Consider it the most unexpected food trend of 2025: Your favorite little treats are now wearable. Panera collaborated with Holler & Glow to launch mac and cheese and bread-scented lip balm; Dunkin’ provided a sweet spin on Tarte’s viral Maracuja line. And now, Magnolia Bakery has partnered with Glossier to launch its latest limited-edition Balm Dotcom flavor: banana pudding.

They say it takes three to start a trend, but those examples are only the tip of the iceberg—you can also score AriZona Iced Tea lip balm, made by Vacation; swicy fans can let their love of sweet heat linger with a swipe of the Burt’s Bees x Mike’s Hot Honey collab. And if you’re feeling chapped, the cult-favorite Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask now comes in a Baskin-Robbins-inspired rainbow sherbet flavor.

It may feel like blatant product promotion, but for fans of the food brands, it’s just one other way to enjoy their favorite treats. And for others, the sheer novelty of seeing how closely a lip gloss can match banana pudding or macaroni and cheese is worth the buy. (Lip care collabs are so popular, in fact, that videos tagged #lipbalmcollab have been viewed 60 million times on TikTok alone.) When it comes to searches for lip balm on Google, Panera’s launch is the top rising term. And back in 2024, when Burt’s Bees launched a Hidden Valley Ranch collab (featuring, yes, ranch-flavored balm, along with Buffalo Sauce, Crunchy Celery and Fresh Carrot  varieties), it sold out almost immediately.

If you’ve read this far, then clearly, your interest is piqued too. So, which ones are worth trying? Here are a few editor-vetted favorites worth snagging ASAP.

Glossier’s Balm Dotcom is my must-have for healing cracked lips. Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding is my must-have for healing bad days. So, honestly, this mash-up was right up my alley—and I’m happy to report that it doesn’t disappoint. It has a light, fruity banana scent and really hydrates your lips with the subtle sheen Glossier is known for.

My favorite feature, however, is the keychain—sold separately ($18)—which screws onto the balm and ensures it’s never out of reach. As someone who’s constantly rummaging in her purse for things, that alone makes it worth the buy.

You’ll need to join the waitlist to get your hands on this one, but for swicy fans, it’s worth the wait. Take it from Senior Commerce Editor Stephanie Maida: “As a certified Mike’s Hot Honey fanatic (who will *always* drizzle it on my pizza if given the chance), I was thrilled to hear about the brand’s collab with Burt’s Bees. After finally getting my lips on it, I couldn’t be more impressed. It smells exactly like the real deal — sweet and spicy — and feels so luxe and soothing on my lips. And, like the actual condiment, it comes complete with a little kick of an aftertaste, a pleasant tingling on the lips that feels revitalizing, like I just ate something peppery.” (Just note that while it’s tingly, it’s not designed to plump your lips.)

Fresh off multiple fashion launches, Panera is now taking aim at conquering the beauty aisle, thanks to its buzzy collab with Holler & Glow. Each two-pack features one Mac & Cheese-scented balm and a bread bowl-inspired one, along with a tiny spoon to apply ‘em. The balms aren’t just a gimmick; they’re infused with vitamin E to nourish your lips, but let’s be honest—that’s not why you’re curious about trying them.

So, I'll get right to it: The mac has a genuinely cheesy scent with a clear sheen. The bread is much more subtly fragranced, with a light carb-y note, but it has a very pale rosy tint, so they're just as functional as they are novel.

Laneige’s Sleeping Mask has become a PureWow reader and editor favorite, and for good reason:  "I’ve tried so many lip masks, but nothing beats the Laneige Lip Sleeping mask," says Beauty and Cultures Editor Chelsea Candelario. "I just love how it keeps my lips moisturized and protected while I catch up on some much-needed beauty rest." (It’s so popular, in fact, that it won a 2025 PureWow Readers’ Favorite Award.) The tri-color version and rainbow sherbet scent make this edition even dreamier.
