This week’s solar eclipse in Libra on the 14th brings a cathartic release. Eclipses are usually messy, a throwing an ex’s clothes out of a third floor window kind of purge. But this one is an amicable breakup. We’re letting go with style!

This packed week also features:

  • Venus moves into Virgo on the 8th, closing out her four month tour of bold Leo. If your love language is acts of service, now’s your time!
  • Pluto stations direct on the 10th stirring some growing pains or obsessions that have been lying dormant since late April.
  • Mars enters fierce, protective Scorpio on the 12th breaking up the general Libra season indecisiveness.

(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that sign too will provide further insight.)

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Eclipses are often symbolic break ups,  but for you, it’s literal this time. The solar eclipse on the 14th highlights your relationship sector and implores you to make a definitive choice when it comes to one of your closest partnerships. Even if this isn’t a separation, it is a moment to take back some of your power and find more equity in your connection. There’s no more room to spread yourself so thin.

This week’s mantra: “Equal.”

Taurus

(April 20 - May 20)

When was the last time you devoted an entire afternoon to one of your hobbies? With your ruling planet Venus entering Virgo and your pleasure sector on the 8th, you’re buying skeins of yarn for a new knitting project, dusting off your guitar, and heading to the library to pick up some fresh romance novels. Spending time on hobbies provides a much needed distraction from a stressful work, health or pet issue that comes up around the solar eclipse on the 14th requiring all your remaining attention.

This week’s mantra: “Enjoy.”

Cheeky illustration of identical twins with long dark hair and a statement earrings back-to-back, smirking at each other.

Gemini

(May 21 - June 20)

To be real: this week is not fun for you, Gemini. Libra season is usually your most pleasurable time of year, but this time it’s like everything you used to love keeps leaving a sour taste in your mouth. You reach peak emo kid at the pumpkin patch at the solar eclipse in Libra on the 14th. When your old faves don’t hit anymore, it’s time to switch up the curation.

This week’s mantra: “Move on.”

Cancer

(June 21 - July 22)

For some the “house cleaning” aspect of eclipses is more of a metaphor, but for you: it’s what’s literally going on. The solar eclipse on the 14th falls in your home sector and brings a needed clearing to some ongoing drama with your family, roommates or landlord. You’re dumping that old IKEA model and making room for a quality couch.

This week’s mantra: “Enhance.”

Cheeky illustration of a woman of Asian-descent wearing a sheer coral top with her hair half-up in pigtail puns, the rest down. She is hugging a lion, who is smirking.

Leo

(July 23 - Aug 22)

Solar eclipses are particularly challenging for you, Leo, as they’re when the sun—your ruling planet—is blocked from shining its light. Likewise, you might be feeling depleted, exhausted and overshadowed this week. You’re running on an empty tank and any social obligation that isn’t mandatory will likely be skipped. The real ones will get that you need the rest and those who don’t weren’t your real friends anyway.

This week’s mantra: “Recharge.”

Virgo

(August 23 - September 23)

The solar eclipse in Libra on the 14th falls in your money sector, bringing attention to how you are or aren’t currently making ends meet. Whether you’re building your own business, going freelance or in what’s beginning to feel like an endless job search, it seems like there are a lot of possibilities but not a lot of actual cash flow. What comes up this week makes your next moves very clear.

This week’s mantra: “Decide.”

Libra

(September 23 - October 21)

Your main character era has arrived, Libra. The solar eclipse on the 14th is in your sign and brings attention to your identity, image and health. While everyone else is curating their home or their job search or their dating app filters, you’re having a very personal kind of reckoning. Whether it’s a glow up or a fashion crisis, you won’t get out of this week without an updated vision board for your personal style.

This week’s mantra: “Me.”

Scorpio

(October 22 - November 21)

Grab your weighted blanket and a warm cup of tea because this week is one for you to hole up and hibernate. The solar eclipse on the 14th falls in your unconscious sector, and though it feels like everyone’s mad at you, it might be in your head. Wait it out and trust that things will feel better next week. With your ruling planet Mars moving into your sign on the 12th, you’re about to start feeling like yourself again.

This week’s mantra: “Emerge.”

Sagittarius

(November 22 - December 21)

You’ve long sensed that a split in your friend group was coming and the solar eclipse on the 14th brings a definitive break. Though it feels dramatic in the moment to leave the group chat, quit the planning committee or skip an acquaintance’s milestone birthday, you’re making choices that will bring more calm and ease to your life in the long term.

This week’s mantra: “Peace.”

Capricorn

(December 22 - January 19)

The solar eclipse on the 14th falls in your career and public image zone and marks a clear before and after in your professional life. In a different era, you were so focused on professional success, but now tending to your home and growing your family feels like the most important part of the equation. Take notice of the opportunities you’re being given to simplify your role and feel more in control of your trajectory.

This week’s mantra: “Clean.”

Aquarius

(January 20 - February 18)

A theme of this year for you has been frugality with the goal of saving up for a big dream, and this week, the urgency to launch the business, buy the house or splurge on your honeymoon trip is on high gear. In some ways it feels like all the pieces are falling into place and in other ways, it feels like everything’s falling apart. Before jumping into anything, take a step back and ask: am I genuinely excited or am I just hopped up on adrenaline?

This week’s mantra: “Calm.”

Cheeky illustration of a gender-fluid white person with short-cropped orange hair. They're wearing a light blue halter top as two bright pink koi fish circle their head.

Pisces

(February 19 - March 20)

The solar eclipse on the 14th is a moment to release the emotional and financial baggage that’s been holding you back. Relationships got messy and bills are overdue, but you won’t solve those problems by feeling sorry for your past self. It’s time to pull those skeletons out of the closet and dust them off for display. It’s a relief to see how unthreatening they are in the light of day.

This week’s mantra: “Reveal.”
