Welcome to Sagittarius season! The sun moves into the archer’s sign on the 22nd. Happy birthday to our whip smart stars from Taylor Swift to Amanda Seyfried to Bill Nye the Science Guy! Though the switch from secretive Scorpio to wild Sagittarius is always welcome, this year, it’s more appreciated than usual. This week’s astrological weather is as nice as it can get for the latter half of 2022. The new moon in Sagittarius on the 23rd is an auspicious one as Jupiter—planet of freedom and opportunity—stations direct on the same day. Projects and plans that have been delayed since late July gain forward momentum. We’re going to make it after all.

Despite the generally improved vibes though, Mars retrograde squares off with hazy Neptune yet again—the last time was October 12th—on the 19th, bringing the confusion, overwhelm and uncertainty we’ve been feeling all month to another uneasy peak. This influence remains in effect through early next year so it’s best to ride the wave, take it slow, and remember the anxieties and worries you’re feeling are likely temporary.
