My most controversial workout opinion isn’t about preferring Hokas over On. It isn’t even that I’d take an indoor rowing workout over a treadmill any day of the week. It’s that…I do not like lululemon leggings. Over the past years, encouraged by the brand’s legions of fans, I’ve tried three or four of the styles—including the cult-favorite Aligns. Reader, I just do not get the hype. The idea of spending $98 on a pair of workout pants that I’ll spend the majority of my HIIT class pulling up (and that, in my experience, pill too easily)? Not super appealing. Now, that’s not to say I’m above spending a pretty penny for what looks like a simple piece of spandex; I just spend my hard-earned dollar on a different—but wholly better, in my opinion—style: the LSKD Fusion Full Length Leggings with Pockets ($110). Read on for my full review.

My Review of the LSKD Fusion Full-Length Leggings

How I Tested the LSKD Fusion Leggings

I’ve owned my pair for roughly three years at this point, and have worn for dozens of workouts, ranging from indoor cycling, boxing and yoga classes to jogs around NYC. In my rating, I’ve taken into consideration quality, comfort level, durability, value and more.

First let me talk about the biggest difference I’ve noticed between these LSKD leggings and similar pairs I’ve tried from popular brands like lululemon, Athleta and more: These babies do not budge. Like, there is zero slipping at the waistband. The material, comprised of 74 percent recycled Polyester and 26 percent spandex, is soft to the touch and so comfortable to wear. It’s a high-waist silhouette with enough compression that you feel supported and snatched, but not so much that you feel suffocated. They also dry faster than any other pair I’ve tried. I’m an extremely sweaty person (as in, I leave workout classes looking like I just got out of the shower), and my LSKD leggings never feel gross.

Aesthetically, they’re everything I look for in workout clothes. They’re all black, aside from small, reflective logos at the back of the waistband and the top of one calf, and they’re completely opaque—perfect for keeping you covered even in the deepest of squats. Plus, there’s also no front seam, making camel toes a thing of the past.

They’re also tall girl-approved. I’m 6’ and often find workout pants to be too short for my liking. While LSKD does make its Fusion leggings in 7/8 and 3/4 lengths , the full-length version hits right at my ankle. (There are also Fusion shorts that I just might have to add to my collection…) They fit true to size, so I’d recommend sticking with your usual.

Finally, the pockets. The LSKD Fusion leggings have a pocket on each outer thigh, perfect for stashing a key or two, your phone, an energy gel or even a slim card case. The storage is great, sure, but I also love that when not in use, the pockets lay completely flat against the body (I hate when bulkier pockets break up the clean lines of a workout tight).

What I Like

  • long enough for tall folks
  • stay in place regardless of how you’re moving
  • just the right level of compression

What I Don't Like

  • pricey

The only con, really, is the price. I’ll admit that $110 is a lot to spend on a single pair of leggings (even more than a lululemon pair, I’ll give them that), but considering I’ve owned mine for three years, washing them frequently (and air drying them—more care instructions below), and they still look and feel the same? I’d say it’s a fabulous investment if you’re someone who works out a lot and is still in search of their ideal legging.
