St. Regis Deer Valley (Park City, UT)

Sure, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a fire at the St. Regis Deer Valley—at the lobby’s traditional stone-meets-wood cheminée, the minimalist-y modern fireplace at the bar and lounge, or even from inside your bathroom in the Presidential Suite—but the most enviable and Instagrammable moment at this ski-in, ski-out paradise is the “Fire Garden” outside. Overlooking the slopes, these famed fire pits are the perfect place to take in the views while you enjoy the signature scotch and s’mores, or watch in awe as a Champagne bottle is sabered in front of you at the daily ritual.

Mountain Shadows (Paradise Valley, AZ)

It’s all about the freestanding, Jetsons-looking fireplace inside The Living Room, the sunken lounge area at Hearth ’61—the on-site restaurant. The only thing that could make Mountain Shadows more glam is that before it was rebuilt, it was a popular haunt of Bob Hope and Lucille Ball in the 1950s. The I Love Lucy star can even be seen arriving by helicopter in one of the hotel’s many black-and-white prints from this era.
