Following the announcement that Prince Philip had passed away peacefully on the morning of April 9, he was honored yesterday with a small, private service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. While the royal family is undergoing a state of mourning, they have been taking the time to honor the late Duke of Edinburgh.
On the various royal family social media accounts, they have revisited Philip's legacy, treating us to some wonderful throwbacks and never-before-seen snaps along the way. Yesterday, the Duke's 73-year marriage to Queen Elizabeth II was recognized on the @royalfamily Instagram account, and the third picture in the slideshow is a rare snap of a young Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
