Viola Davis Stuns in Alexander McQueen Corset Dress on Cannes Red Carpet

Can we just take a moment to admire Viola Davis’s latest ensemble worn to the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in France?

On Wednesday, The First Lady actress attended the movie screening during the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Davis simply radiated on the red carpet, rocking a custom-made Alexander McQueen corset dress. While she was giving major Belle vibes (you know, from Beauty and the Beast), the yellow dress featured an exploded neckline and puffy sleeves.

But, that’s not all—the Oscar-winning actress chose to wear her natural hair to the event. Davis opted for an afro hairstyle and sported an orange flower hairpin. The How to Get Away with Murder alum beamed from ear to ear, as she stood next to her husband, Julius Tennon. He looked absolutely dapper in a black suit with a matching bowtie and a white buttoned-up shirt.

Davis is just one of many celebrities who will get a chance to see the Top Gun sequel before it hits theaters on May 27. Some other big names who are set to see the flick in advance? None other than Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Yes, the royal couple will attend a red carpet screening today at London’s Leicester Square. They were given a special invitation by the film’s star, Tom Cruise, after he learned the Duke of Cambridge was a big fan of the original. The royals will make a red carpet appearance alongside the movie’s stars, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jay Ellis and more.

Viola’s red carpet look is one for the books.
