Travis Kelce was locked in ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
Taking to Empower Field for warmups, Kelce was practicing with his team when cameras captured an intense picture of him standing alone and staring off into the distance. Kelce’s seriousness and focus could have been because of Kansas City’s struggles this season, and unfortunately, their struggles continued, as the team lost to the Broncos 22-19.
At least things are going great for Kelce off the football field. Earlier this year, the athlete and his longtime partner (ahem, Taylor Swift) announced their engagement to the world via a joint Instagram post, captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” alongside a lit firecracker emoji. The post featured a carousel that included a photo of Kelce down on one knee in an English garden, a snap of the couple standing with their foreheads touching in a sweet embrace and, of course, a close-up of the gorgeous ring.
While the couple has been relatively mum regarding a wedding date, Swift did open up about the ring and her relationship with Kelce during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she said she was “blinded” by the ring. “It’s crazy, that’s crazy,” she laughed, adding, “I look at it constantly, it doesn’t feel in any way normal for me, I’m still like, ‘Oh man, wow!'”
She continued, “Because he’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met, no offense to everyone else I’ve ever met,” she shared. “The fact that this is the person I get to hang out with every day forever, that’s the whole thing of it, that’s the win, and this represents that.”
Here’s to hoping Kansas City turns it around so that the couple can get two major celebrations in 2026.
