On Instagram, the Girlfriends alum dedicated a heartwarming tribute to her dad, Robert Ellis Silberstein, on his birthday by sharing throwback videos of them having fun together. And we truly get to see her and her dad’s sweet, goofy relationship on camera.
In one of the videos, Rob is on his way to the gym and Ross compliments his “chic” style. She also comments on how fit he looks, to which he straightens his posture and says with a smile, “Thank you.”
Ross wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday Dad!! Here’s to many more turkey shots at the deli counter. Love you!!!”
As an added treat, the Black-ish star also shared another funny video, where they both recount the time her father tried to sell her a coupon. In the clip, they’re both sitting in a car after having dinner together.
“Dad, I can’t believe you tried to sell me a coupon [laughing emoji] HBD BOB LUV U!” Ross wrote in the caption.
So many of her followers couldn’t get enough of the father-daughter duo in the comments section. One person wrote, “I LOVE HIM! More videos of DAD!!!!” with a laughing emoji. Even actress Viola Davis loved the funny video, writing, “That’s a daddy!!!! Happiest of birthdays!!”
