You finally have a reason to buy even more plants (or cross off that New Year's resolution that you'll try to not overwater one ever again). Online plant store The Sill just opened its first Brooklyn location and trust us, it's worth a visit to the bustling borough.

The NYC store just opened its doors today, so you'll have a chance to pick out your new leafy friend right away. Here are a few things you should know before making the trek:

10 Gifts for Plant Lovers (and Yes, They’re All Plants)

1. Look For The Place Cards

If you’re too embarrassed to ask a question (although the staff at The Sill are happy to answer them) or you’re not keen on social interaction, the shop makes it easy to learn about every plant with informational place cards. Customers can learn about how much light a plant needs, how many times to water them and even if they’re pet-friendly. Each card is bright blue, so you can spot them from a distance.

2. It Has Plants On Plants On Plants

You can't look at the store without pointing out a different plant every time. The Sill hosts crowd favorites like the ZZ plant, Philodendron Green, and the Calathea Rattlesnake, to name a few. If you’re overwhelmed by the choices, the staff is happy to walk through to find the right plant for you. They’ll ask you questions like, "Where are you planning to put your plant?" "How many times are you willing to water it?" and "Do you want a big or small plant?"

3. Don't Miss The Perfect Instagram Moment

And of course, the popular plant Instagram account knows the importance of a great pic of your lil' sprout, so the team dedicated a section of the store to letting visitors take pictures with their new plant baby. All angles are encouraged to step up your plant game.

4. It's Home To Events, Workshops And More

The Sill has multiple NYC locations, like the Lower East Side, Upper West Side and a mini kiosk in City Point. Similar to the brand's other locations, The Sill will host events and workshops to help new and old plant parents take care of their leafy friends. Just like their virtual assistant, visitors can come in to address any concerns and questions. It’s a judgment-free zone.

After visiting the new spot, I can say it's worth a visit—it even turned me into a plant person. And me and my new Calathea will be having the best weekend ever. If you can't make it out there just yet, you can always have one shipped to your home. Here are some of our favorites:
