It appears the Conners aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
ABC just renewed the popular series for a second season, according to Deadline. Although we don’t know the size of the order, many speculate it will consist of 13 episodes, which is slightly larger than the first one.
According to Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment, the decision to renew The Conners was a no-brainer. “We are proud to be continuing the story of the iconic Conners family,” she said in a statement. “This team is fearless in their willingness to tackle contemporary issues with humor and heart, and I have no doubt they will continue to outdo themselves.”
The Conners came into our lives back in June 2018 when ABC canceled Roseanne after Roseanne Barr posted a series of controversial tweets. Two weeks later, the network green-lit a ten-episode spin-off series, The Conners, which focuses on other members of the family.
