The 1 Thing That’d Be Different if Tayshia Were the New Bachelorette

Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette is officially underway, but that doesn’t mean Tayshia can’t dream about what could have been. In fact, the former contestant is opening up about the one thing she’d change if she were selected.

In a recent interview with Vulture, Tayshia discussed the upcoming season of The Bachelorette and revealed that things would be way different if she were in Brown’s position. When asked about a hypothetical season, the Bachelor Nation star admitted that she’d accept the role on one condition.

“The guys would definitely have to be much older. I’d tell you that much,” she said. “I require a little bit more life experience, someone who really knows who they are and still aren’t trying to figure themselves out. Show up or get out. No bullsh*t, let’s go, I’m trying to find a husband!”

Tayshia becoming the next Bachelorette isn’t totally random. In fact, she was in the running for the highly coveted role, according to Robert Mills—the senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late-night programming for ABC.

The showrunner previously revealed that in addition to Brown, ABC considered four contestants from Colton Underwood’s season: Tayshia, Hannah G., Caelynn and—drumroll, please—Demi.

There’s always next year. Brown’s season of The Bachelorette premieres on Monday, May 13, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
