Sofía Vergara Reveals She’s Filming a New Project (and It’s for a Good Cause)

Sofía Vergara is busy filming a new project (but don't get your hopes up about a Modern Family reunion). The 50-year-old's latest on-screen appearance is for a good cause, as it's to help support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The America's Got Talent judge shared the news in her latest Instagram post, where she said, “Love this time of the year. On set filming for @stjude.” She also added three emojis of mending hearts.

In the photo, Vergara is seen wearing one of the charity's “This Shirt Saves Lives” t-shirts, while filming something to help promote the organization.

Vergara is a spokesperson for St. Jude alongside many other celebrity supporters, including Jennifer Aniston, Thomas Rhett, Bon Jovi, Reba McEntire and more.

Vergara has frequently shown her support for St. Jude. Back in September 2020, she shared a video to her Instagram, where she asked for donations to help the org. In her caption, she wrote, “Hola amigos [waving hand emoji]. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and I’m proud to support @stjude for their #30daysofStJude campaign. Donations fund research and treatment and make it so that families never receive a bill. Join me and let’s cure childhood cancer. Together. To learn more visit #forStJude.”

The Chef actress has frequently appeared in videos for the organization, like the one below, which was posted during the holiday season in 2017.

As a philanthropist, Vergara not only supports St. Jude, but has attached her name to other causes as well.

In August 2021, the Modern Family alum posted a photo in a Stand Up to Cancer shirt, and she wrote, “So happy to be part of this!! Visit to donate!! @su2c.”

We love seeing Sofía fight for this cause.
