Simone Biles's tropical getaway just got ten times more exciting—and it's all because of baby turtles.
On Instagram, the 24-year-old Olympian shared pics and videos of herself releasing the sea creatures into the ocean. In the caption, she wrote, "Baby turtle release. Crossing this off my bucket list!"
The post includes stunning photos of Biles holding the sea turtles, as well as a short clip of the little creatures crawling in the sand towards the water. One fan commented, "Such a beautiful view and those baby turtles are so adorable." Another fan wrote, "This is THE COOLEST! Now this is going ON my bucket list!"
The post comes just three days after Biles announced on IG that she is treating herself to a well-deserved island getaway following the completion of the Tokyo Olympics. In her initial post, she shared pics of herself posing in a hanging chair and wrote, "beaching until further notice." Then, she shared a photo of herself rocking a colorful bikini while posing by the pool, following it up with an eye-catching snap of herself surrounded by golden candles. She captioned the post, "Just over here doin my thang."
During this year's summer games, the gymnast took a brief hiatus and skipped a few events to focus on her mental health, but when fans started to assume that she gave up, she set the record straight. On Instagram, she said, "For anyone saying I quit. I didn't quit, my mind & body are simply not in sync as you can see here. I don't think you realize how dangerous this is on hard/competition surface nor do I have to explain why I put health first." And cue the mic drop.
