When it comes to fashion, it really is all about perspective. What one person considers a bold statement, another might see as a misstep. Style is subjective but even so, there are a few universally accepted rules in fashion. Things like showing up in dirty clothes, ignoring a dress code or wearing visibly wrinkled garments tend to land in faux pas territory. But on a red carpet? Honestly, anything can happen.

That point was made loud and clear at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The ceremony took place on Sunday, September 14 at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles and the red carpet was packed with glam. One of the more eye-catching looks came from Severance star Britt Lower.

For TV’s biggest night, the 40-year-old actress wore a burnt copper gown from Calvin Klein Collection, featuring a sleek open back with a deep V-shaped cut. The design takes inspiration from a silhouette shown at the brand’s Spring 2026 runway presentation, which Lower attended just two days before.

The color? Gorgeous. The cut? Effortlessly modern. But there was one small detail I couldn’t help but notice: the wrinkles. The silk gown had some crinkling across the chest in a diagonal line, and a side view revealed a few more folds along the back. Was it intentional? Not sure. But did she still pull it off? Absolutely.

Severance leads the night with a massive 27 nominations, the most of any show.

This is Lower’s first Emmy nom and she's in good company at the ceremony alongside co-stars Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, Merritt Wever and Gwendoline Christie, who also earned acting nods.
