This week, Williams celebrated her Super Bowl appearance on Instagram by sharing backstage videos and photos. One of her posts included rare photos of her 7-year-old daughter, who is growing up too fast.
The slideshow features several candid photos of Williams interacting with Olympia, who is the spitting image of her mom. The caption read, “Rehearsals anyone?”
As Williams noted in the caption, the photos were taken during rehearsals for the Super Bowl halftime show. The tennis player made a surprise cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s performance, and she totally killed it. Cameras panned to Williams doing an impressive crip walk and jamming to “Not Like Us.”
After the Super Bowl, Williams shared a backstage video of herself getting ready for her surprise appearance. She even teased a few dance moves while a makeup artist applied blush.
“Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??!” she wrote. “I died a little!”
Her sister, Venus, reposted a video of the performance on her Instagram Story and gave a special shout-out to Serena. She wrote, “Lil sis killing it.” Even her husband, Alexis Ohanian, chimed in with a subtle tribute on X, writing, “Pretty fantastic halftime show.”
