The wellness world is packed with all kinds of trendy treatments—from vampire facials to cupping to red light therapy—that promise to help you level up your health game. One of those buzzworthy options? Cryotherapy. And if you’ve ever been curious about what it’s really like, Serena Williams just gave us a peek.

On June 11, the tennis icon posted about her cryotherapy session on Instagram, sharing two photos from her experience. In the first, she’s hugging herself like she’s trying to get warm, decked out in tan workout shorts, a black sports tank and gloves. The second shot shows her standing inside the chilly cryo chamber, looking determined.

She captioned the post, “I was trying to make Cryotherapy couture. I failed.” Classic Serena humor! She added, “Day 1 I did 2 minutes 45 seconds at -110 degrees. Let’s see how long I last tomorrow.”

So, what exactly is cryotherapy? It’s basically exposing your body to super low temperatures, either locally or whole-body, to get various health benefits. People use it to reduce inflammation, speed up muscle recovery and even improve mood. It sounds intense (and it is) but the potential perks keep drawing people in.

Fans were totally here for Serena’s cold plunge adventure. One person shared, “Done it every week for 5 years—3 minutes. You can make it! Just have someone there to talk to you—it makes the time go faster.” Another encouraged, “It’s not a fail until you’re finished. Keep going, with your inner champion guiding you.” And someone else chimed in with, “Cryo is not for the weak.”

Clearly, Serena’s giving it her all.
