Buh-bye, Ryan Seacrest! The TV Star Announces He's Quitting His Job as Co-Host of ‘Live from the Red Carpet’

Ryan Seacrest is bidding farewell to his longtime gig as co-host of E!’s Live From The Red Carpet.

The TV personality announced the news on his Instagram account, sharing an old snap of himself with an E! microphone as he reports from the red carpet. Seacrest wrote, "After 14 years of hosting E!’s Live from the Red Carpet I’ve decided to move on to new adventures. I’ll miss the whole crew that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana [Rancic]. Thanks to everyone for watching all these years."

E! network also released a statement and said, "E! has long enjoyed our relationship with Ryan over the years, especially as co-host of E!'s signature red carpet series. He has been instrumental in giving viewers a front row seat to some of Hollywood's biggest nights. We are extremely appreciative of his many contributions and he will always be part of the E! family."

Over the years, Seacrest has co-hosted a number of red carpet events, from the Academy Awards to the Grammys. Jennifer Aniston, Regina King, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon are just a few famous names that he's interviewed—and now, fans are applauding him for his amazing run. His fellow host, Rancic, said, "Ryan, as sad as you know I am, I celebrate you today and all the great memories we’ve made on the E! red carpet these past 14 years. You are truly one-of-a-kind...what an honor it’s been hosting alongside you. I sure will miss you on the red carpet, my friend." Fashion expert Brad Goreski also added, "You are a legend Ryan!"

In addition to keeping us all entertained on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Seacrest has also been keeping busy with American Idol, American Top 40 and his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest. While speaking with Gotham about the biggest lesson he's learned in his successful career, he said, "I’ve learned so much. What I tell students that I meet is you’re going to be told 'no' at some point; we all have heard this word. It’s not fun, but it happens. Most important, don’t let that word hinder you—let it motivate you not to quit. Keep at it—whatever your pursuit—because focus and persistence are key."

We'll certainly miss seeing you work your magic on the red carpet, Ryan.
