The Little Fires Everywhere star, 43, recently shared a rare photo on Instagram, featuring her beautiful mom, Valerie. The selfie was taken in honor of Valerie’s birthday, which they celebrated on December 29.
The never-before-seen photo features Washington posing with her mom, who’s wearing a gray V-neck sweater. Everything from their cheeky smiles to their brown eyes look nearly identical, and we can’t believe we didn’t see it sooner.
She captioned the post, “Today is a very special day. It’s the day that the fiercest lioness in my pride was born. My OG! The goddess of grace. Today is my mom’s birthday!!!!!! Help me send her some birthday loooooooove.”
Washington also shared her mom’s birthday wish, adding, “P.S. For her birthday she is asking for donations to the @bronxchildrensmuseum. The Bronx is the only borough in NYC without a Children’s museum!!! And she has dedicated her LIFE to improving the lives of children. It would mean the world to BOTH of us if you could help the cause. I’ll put the info up in my stories.”
