First, it was Zac Efron. Then it was Joe Jonas. And now, Ricky Martin is putting a creative twist on the platinum blonde trend.
Yesterday, the “She Bangs” singer, 49, debuted his brand-new hairstyle on his personal Instagram by sharing a beach selfie. The pic features Martin posing for the camera—while his hair is perfectly styled, he’s very obviously sporting a new beard color: bleach blonde.
Martin’s new facial hair looks like it was professionally done, especially since there isn’t a hair that’s out of place. The musician even shaved off his sideburns to create a seamless transition between his blonde beard and his brunette hair.
He captioned the post, “When bored, bleach.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments section with words of praise for the singer’s new hair beard color. Some said what we’re all thinking and wrote, “Blondes have more fun.” Others suggested another trip to the salon: “I would bleach the hair too! Would suit you even more!”
Martin has been using this period of social distancing to spend more time with his family. He and his husband, Jwan Yosef, are parents to four children: Matteo (12), Valentino (12), Lucia (2) and Renn (1).
So, is Martin’s bleached beard just a phase? Or will he continue to transition to the blonde side? Guess we’ll have to continue stalking social media to find out.
