This week, Reese Witherspoon, 47, shared a photo slideshow on Instagram of her brand-new hairstyle. The first picture featured a selfie of The Morning Show star posing next to a gigantic magnolia flower and rocking freshly cut bangs.
As a love letter to one of her favorite places, the actress wrote in the caption, “I love the South,” alongside a white heart emoji.
Her fans rushed to the comments section to compliment the Legally Blonde alum on her new hairstyle. One person wrote, “Love the bangs!!” Even Chelsea Handler, 48, commented on the new ‘do, writing, “I like when you get bangs.”
Witherspoon’s signature hairstyle usually features a middle part with chin-length layers around her face. However, it seems that Witherspoon has been secretly rocking her new hairdo for quite some time now. In a previously shared IG post, the actress posted a slideshow of herself having brunch with the fam.
In the first pic, the Sweet Home Alabama star is smiling widely with her short-cut bangs in full view. “Still laughing about this whole brunch,” she wrote in the caption.
This latest hair reveal comes a few weeks after the mother of three shared a throwback photo on Mother’s Day, where she doesn’t have bangs. In the grainy snap, Witherspoon and her daughter, Ava, 23, practically looked like twins as they posed together on a sandy beach. In the background, her two sons, Deacon, 19, and Tennessee, 10, are playing in the sand.
Witherspoon wrote in the caption, “Gosh, I’m lucky to be their mama.”
