Birthday wishes are in order for Tennessee Toth, Reese Witherspoon's now-8-year-old son.
To mark the occasion, the Little Fires Everywhere star, 44, shared a cute snap of Tennessee on her Instagram account, writing, "Happy 8th Birthday, to my youngest guy, Tenn! You are the brightest spirit, the most inquisitive soul and the funniest little guy I know. What a joy it is to be your Mama. I love you buddy!!"
In the picture, Tenn (fun nickname alert) smiles sweetly at the camera with a whole bunch of balloons in the background. In case there was any doubt as to who his mom is, the little guy looks exactly like Witherspoon, from the light blonde hair to the warm smile. Oh, and quite literally the exact same chin.
But here's the thing: Tennessee looks like his mom's mini-me, but he also looks oh-so similar to dad Jim Toth.
Back in June, Witherspoon celebrated Father’s Day by sharing a never-before-seen photo of Tennessee and his dad. While we originally thought the then-7-year-old was a dead ringer for his mom, we now can’t decide which parent he resembles more. In the pic, Tennessee is posing with Toth during an afternoon walk in the neighborhood. If you look past Toth’s salt-and-pepper hair and tattoos, there’s no denying the resemblance—from their blue eyes to their tongue-showing smiles.
Regardless of which parent he looks more like, there's no denying this kid's got some damn good genes.
