You’ve probably heard the saying “like mother, like daughter” more times than you can count. Sure, it’s a cliché, but there’s a reason it has stuck around. We tend to pick up all kinds of traits, habits and, of course, physical features from our parents. Apparently, that includes the royal family, too. Princess Charlotte is following in her mother Kate Middleton’s footsteps in a particularly sporty way: She plays netball.
Charlotte, who turned 11 in May, is reportedly quite the athlete. According to the Daily Mail, the young royal plays on an out-of-school netball team that competes at a high level across the country.
And it turns out she has a pretty fitting role model. Princess Catherine played netball herself while she was in school, so Charlotte’s interest in the sport is giving major like-mother-like-daughter energy.
