After Prince William was captured on video shopping with his wife, Kate Middleton (who’s been recovering from abdominal surgery), at a local farm shop this past weekend, the Prince of Wales, 41, followed up the appearance with a solo trip to Sheffield, England, to help promote a project he is very passionate about.

On March 19, Prince William attended a Homewards Sheffield Local Coalition meeting at the Millennium Gallery. The initiative (inspired by the royal’s late mother, Princess Diana) aims to eradicate homelessness throughout the U.K. using a five-year plan. FYI, the prince launched the initiative in the summer of 2023.

According to People, an interior design company called Homebase recently donated more than $1 million to help those who recently gained housing with the necessary materials needed to furnish their new home. The outlet also shared that the company’s pledge will provide residents with a total of 1,500 “Home Starter Packs,” which include paint, furniture, etc.

As we said before, this latest outing marked the prince’s first public appearance since being photographed with his wife over the weekend. According to The Sun, bystanders saw the royal couple at the Windsor Farm Shop, which is a distance from Adelaide Cottage (where the princess has been recuperating). During the recent outing, one onlooker said the Princess of Wales appeared “happy, relaxed and healthy.”

Days before the outing, Princess Catherine received backlash from the media for the edited family photo controversy, where a picture of the princess posing with her three kids was said to have been “manipulated.”

On Instagram, the Princess of Wales issued an apology that read, “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day.”

Excited to see what the future holds for Homewards, Prince William.
