Kate Middleton Just Made a Surprise Public Appearance with Prince William, According to Reports

The princess reportedly looked “happy, relaxed and healthy"

Since undergoing planned abdominal surgery back in January, we haven’t seen much of Kate Middleton, 42. There was that one time she was photographed sitting in a car with her mom, Carole Middleton. And she was also caught on camera riding beside her husband, Prince William. But aside from that, the mother of three hasn’t made any public appearances thus far. Well, that all changed this past weekend when the Princess of Wales was spotted out and about in London with her husband.

According to a new report by The Sun, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Windsor Farm Shop on Saturday, March 16. FYI, Princess Catherine has been recuperating at her royal residence since being discharged from the hospital following her surgery.

Per the outlet, onlookers saw the royal couple out and about. During the public outing, one bystander commented on the princess’s appearance, saying the royal looked “happy, relaxed and healthy.”

Before heading to the farmer shop, The Sun added that Princess Catherine and Prince William, 41, spent the morning with their three children (Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5) at a sporting event.

This latest outing marks the princess’s first public appearance since the edited family photo controversy. On Mother’s Day in the U.K., Kensington Palace released a photo of Princess Catherine with her three kids. However, multiple outlets (including the Associated Press) issued a “kill notice” on the photo because it was labeled as a “manipulated” image.

Following the controversy, Princess Catherine broke her silence and released an apology on the Instagram page she shares with her husband, which read, “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day.”
