Swedish Royal Family Celebrates Prince Oscar’s Fifth Birthday with 3 Incredible New Portraits

One week after the Swedish royal family released four rare portraits of Princess Estelle, the gang is gifting us with stunning portraits of her younger brother, Prince Oscar. Lucky us.

On Tuesday, the palace shared never-before-seen photos in honor of the young royal’s 5th birthday on Instagram. And his photogenic skills are almost giving Prince George and Prince Louis a run for their money.

The first image is a solo shot of Oscar (the youngest child of his parents: Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel) looking handsome in a grey, black and cream argyle sweater with a white collar and navy trousers, while the second and third feature appearances from his big sister Estelle and the family’s dog, Rio. It’s clear the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this family. Oscar’s resemblance to his parents is uncanny, including his brown hair and his gorgeous smile.

By the looks of Oscar’s outfit, it seems like the snaps of the now 5-year-old are from the same collection as his sister's birthday portraits. In the princess’s birthday post, Estelle looks chic in black flats, a plaid skirt and a white blouse paired with matching tights. Each picture shows the young royal in different poses, like standing, sitting and looking directly at the camera.

The birthday portraits were taken by photographer Kate Gabor at the Swedish royal palace, Haga Castle, which is located outside Stockholm.

Happy birthday, Oscar!
