Leading up to his 41st birthday, Prince Harry underwent a whirlwind tour of the U.K. In London for just four days last week, he carried out a variety of unofficial yet royal-seeming engagements, finally reunited with his father, King Charles, after a 19-month separation, then rounded out the week with a surprise visit to Ukraine on behalf of the Invictus Games. (Whew.) But with his focus on professional and personal, he later revealed that, overall, the trip went well—specifically, the visit with his dad.
Prince Harry Speaks Out After Reunion with King Charles: ‘My Conscience Is Clear’
About ‘Spare’, about Netflix, about all of it

It was The Guardian who shared more about Harry’s priorities after seeing his dad. A reporter from the U.K.-based publication shadowed the duke as he traveled to Ukraine and revealed that his intention is to spend more time in the U.K. as time progresses and, more optimistically, to bring his children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, along. “This week has definitely brought that closer,” he shared.

Harry stayed tight-lipped about his dad in the over-arching interview (which is worth a read in full, specifically about his efforts to help veterans in Ukraine via the Invictus Games), but he did also shed light on a renewed priority on reconciliation and repair. Over the coming year, per The Guardian, Harry said “the focus really has to be on my dad.”
The Duke of Sussex is also quick to state that he has no regrets in terms of the private stories he shared in his 2023 memoir, Spare, but also various Netflix docuseries and TV interviews (like the one with Oprah), too. In fact, he credits his wife, Meghan Markle, who taught him that telling the truth “is the most efficient way to live.” Per Harry, “She said, ‘just stick to the truth.’ It is the thing I always fall back on. Always.”

On the topic of Spare specifically, Harry is succinct: “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.”
Definitely a good headspace to be in as you enter another year.
