Why Prince Harry Was Shoveling Dirt Today

Royals, they’re just like us—even descendants of the queen have to get stuck in the mud and take care of the garden. (Well, sort of.)

Prince Harry was caught on camera shoveling dirt with kids from St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School today. He was helping to plant saplings in the school’s outdoor nature area.

The initiative was part of the Duke of Sussex’s work for The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy and The Woodland Trust, which highlight the importance of trees and woods and the impact they have on the environment.

While Meghan Markle wasn’t there today, she did make an unannounced appearance with her husband yesterday when the couple visited the New Zealand House in London to pay tribute to the victims of the Christchurch terror attack.

Hey, with spring just around the corner, we could use an extra pair of hands in our backyard. Bring your own shovel, will you, Harry?
