Prince Harry Just Received Some 4 a.m. Reading Material from Primary School Students

Prince Harry had the best reaction when a group of schoolchildren presented him with much-needed reading material during his first few weeks as a new dad.

Today, the Duke of Sussex, 34, visited a community center in Oxford, England, where he received a stack of posters and cards made by students from Bayards Hill Primary School. Paying tribute to his newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the prince joked that he’ll now have plenty to read during his next nighttime feeding.

“You guys have been very busy!” he said. “When I’m awake at 4 o’clock in the morning, I’ll read all these.”

One of the teachers, Simeon Stoodley, even suggested a long-term solution, saying, “We knew exactly what you needed. You have a big enough fridge, right?”

Last week, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, welcomed their first child together. Shortly after debuting their new son to the world at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the couple announced little Archie’s name.

While Markle has remained out of the spotlight, Prince Harry has been rather busy since the baby’s arrival. Prior to visiting the community center, Prince Harry also stopped by the Oxford Children’s Hospital, where he chatted with a mom of two, Amy Scullard, about his newborn son.

“He said he’s getting used to the baby and how Archie has fitted into family life,” Scullard said. “He said he just feels part of the family and he can’t imagine life without his son.”

Hey, at least he has something to occupy his time during those dreaded 4 a.m. feedings.
