Prince Harry Receives a Special Gift for Baby Archie During Children’s Hospital Visit

It’s been over a week since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, welcomed their first child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. And now, the 34-year-old dad can hardly contain his excitement after receiving a thoughtful gift for Baby Sussex during a royal outing.

Earlier today, the Duke of Sussex visited the Oxford Children’s Hospital in Oxford, England. When a former patient gave the prince a teddy bear for his newborn baby, he struggled to conceal his ear-to-ear grin before letting out a loud, “Awww.”

While there, Prince Harry greeted the crowd, met patients and even took off his gray suit jacket so he could play with some of the children.

According to People, the duke confided in Amy Scullard, a mom of two, about her 10-week-old daughter, Ida, and asked if the child “was over the stormy period as babies are supposed be grumpy for the first ten weeks—and she is.”

Scullard also revealed that the new dad was beaming with pride, adding, “He said he’s getting used to the baby and how Archie has fitted into family life. He said he just feels part of the family, and he can’t imagine life without his son.”

Back in October 2018, Prince Harry and Markle announced they were expecting their first child together. Although many expected the duchess to deliver via home birth, that all changed when Scotland Yard stepped in and took her to The Portland in London, a private maternity-only hospital near Regent’s Park.

Something tells us Prince Harry won’t be coming home empty-handed from these royal outings any time soon.
