Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles Just Changed Their Name on Social Media

Remember when Prince William and Kate Middleton changed their display name on social media? Well, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, just followed suit.

Earlier this week, the royal couple made a tweak to their official Twitter account. While the page used to say “Clarence House,” it now reads “The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.”

Of course, it’s important to point out the handle (@clarencehouse) stayed the same. Still, the change is a pretty big deal, since Prince Charles and Bowles’s official Instagram account still has “Clarence House” as the name.

So, what does it all mean? We’re not entirely sure, but it’s clear the royal family wanted to add a personal touch to the Twitter account.

Prior to the change, the average user might not know that the official Clarence House page belonged to Prince Charles and Bowles. However, now that it’s labeled as such, new followers can be clear it’s being run by none other than Prince Charles (aka the future King of England).

The news comes just two months after Prince William and Middleton personalized their own social media accounts. While the pages were originally titled “Kensington Palace,” they now feature their official names: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

Baby steps, people.
