Naomi Osaka Shares First-Glimpse Photo of Newborn Daughter

Just a few days ago, Grand Slam champ Naomi Osaka and her boyfriend, YBN Cordae, became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. And now, the tennis athlete, 25, is sharing a first-glimpse photo of her newborn baby with the world.

The photo in question (featured in a newly shared Instagram slideshow) shows Osaka’s daughter (whose face is completely concealed) laying on her mother’s lap while sporting a white baby romper (designed by Sammy + Nat) with a tennis racket and ball design printed on the front. 

Also, the tennis star shared a series of photos that were taken throughout her pregnancy, from a pic of her hugging her baby bump to a snap of her laying in a hospital bed on the day of the delivery.

In the caption, Osaka wrote, “Well that was a cool little intermission, now back to your regularly scheduled program.”

Her Instagram followers flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages, with one person writing, “Congrats Mama! So so happy for you!” Even actress Gabrielle Union had to send her love to the new mom, commenting with a bunch of red heart emojis.

People reported earlier this week that Osaka and Cordae welcomed their first child together in Los Angeles. A source close to the couple revealed that “they are doing well.” 

Last weekend, Cordae shared during a live performance at Canada’s Calgary Stampede the name of their newborn daughter: Shai.

“My daughter Shai was just born a couple of days ago, so I dedicate this performance to my baby girl Shai,” the 25-year-old rapper told the audience.
