Gabrielle Union has something to say to all the people who claim she shouldn’t be wearing a bikini at the age of 50—and we are here for it.

During a recent appearance on the Who What Wear podcast, The Perfect Find star opened up about how she often receives hate on social media for wearing bikinis. While recounting an online interaction she had with an Instagram user, Union revealed, “Somebody said, ‘You’re old enough to be somebody’s grandma, why are you still, like, wearing bikinis?’”

And the Bring It On actress had (by far) the best comeback for the commenter. “I’m like, ‘First of all, they’re not just bikinis. They are thongs,’” she shared. “‘And you’re gonna see these cheeks until my a** literally falls off, and I might just wear a bikini in the casket.’”

Union went on to discuss how women are expected to dress a certain way once they pass a certain age. “At 35, they start treating you like you’ve got osteoporosis,” the Being Mary Jane alum explained. “You start becoming invisible, and it’s a weird, empty feeling to feel like you’re disappearing in front of your own eyes. You start taking on the same attitude as society that believes that you lack value.”

Union is not the only celebrity to receive negative comments online. Back in April, actress Halle Berry (who is 56 years old) responded to an internet troll who criticized her for posting a “racy photo” of herself on Instagram. In the snap, the Bruised star sipped a cup of wine while standing on her balcony completely nude.

In a now-deleted tweet, an internet user wrote, “Imagine being in your 50s, still posting nudes for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with the grandkids,” according to People magazine. “Aging with dignity is no longer a thing.”

Berry replied with a cheeky and confusing comment about shrimp, writing, “Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?”

You tell them, ladies.
