Miles Teller Refused to Root for Friend Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl: ‘It Didn’t Matter Who They Were Playing’

It’s no secret that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have countless famous friends, including actor Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller. Despite their close-knot bond, Teller recently revealed that the NFL is an exception to their friendship.

This week, Miles shared rare details about his and his wife’s real-life friendship with Swift and Kelce. The Whiplash actor, 37, revealed that while they’re great friends in real life, he didn’t root for Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl because his loyalty lies with the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I think it was pretty clear in that situation as a diehard Eagles fan, I didn’t have mixed feelings about it,” Miles told E! News. “It didn’t matter who they were playing.”

The actor admitted that it was nothing personal against Kelce or his team, adding, “My mom could’ve been on the field [instead of] the Chiefs and I would’ve been like, ‘Go Birds.’”

Of course, Miles wasn’t the only person who had mixed feelings about who to root for. Kelce’s brother, Jason, used to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and previously revealed that he’d root for his former teammates over his brother.

In a 2024 clip from the New Heights podcast, Jason admitted that regardless of his brother’s participation, he will root for the Eagles over the Kansas City Chiefs. “I will root for the Eagles of course because I will always be an Eagle first and foremost,” Jason said.

He added, “I’ll also root for Travis to have a good game of course. He’s my brother. But no, I’ll definitely be cheering on the Eagles.”
