Michael Consuelos Looks Just Like His Father in New Portrait on Instagram

We do a double take whenever we see a picture of Kelly Ripa's oldest son, Michael, because he looks so much like his father, Mark Consuelos. And if we needed any more proof that the 24-year-old actor is a copycat of his dad, he just posted a new portrait to his Instagram account.

Thanks to this snap, we feel like we've been transported back to the ’90s, when Mark Consuelos first came to fame for his role as Mateo Santos on All My Children (the same place where he met Ripa). In the black-and-white pic, Michael dons an open button-up with a white t-shirt underneath, while laying back on his hands and looking straight into the camera.

For his caption, Michael jokingly wrote, “What are you looking at?”

Fans loved the snap, calling Michael “handsome” and “gorgeous.” They also recognized the similarity to Mark Consuelos, with one person commenting, “He looks like his father a lot.” Another wrote, “Mini Mark????”

This isn't the first time their similarities have been brought to our attention. Last year, Ripa posted a side-by-side photo comparing her husband's graduation photo from 1989 to her son's senior portrait from 2016. Ripa uploaded the photo to promote a new episode of Riverdale, where Michael actually plays the younger version of his father. In her caption she said, “Tonight on @thecwriverdale 8 est. The graduation. Thought you might like to see the Hiram’s, old and young, senior pictures #twins 1989 vs. 2016. #riverdale #daddy.”

Of course, the two look practically identical in their photos, with Michael sharing his dad's smile, face shape, nose and eyes.

Talk about strong genes.
